Oh boy! Here I am again! Starting another project when I have other projects to finish! Oopsie!
One thing that surprises me is the lack of offical Bluey plushies there are. I have a small Bluey squishmallow and even smaller Socks, but there really isn’t much to choose from out there. Making my own seems like an obvious choice.

And to start off, we have my favorite girl, Socks! I had gotten the little Socks plushie and my gf kept wanting to nab her, so I figured I would make my gf her own. One big enough that she can actually cuddle it.
I actually don’t do amigurumi a whole lot! This is probably my 3rd finished amigurumi. The pattern was a little difficult for me to get started, but once I did, I was on a roll. I finished almost all the parts, and most of the body on the first day. I was home sick from work and ended up hyperfocusing all day on crocheting to kinda ignore the pain oops. I did make myself break away from it once my fingers started hurting pretty bad, as much as I did want to finish the whole thing in one day. I finished the rest of the body and sewed everything together the next day.
I did cheat a little to cut costs. I used baby blue yarn for her eyebrows and back spot. I also used regular worsted weight yarn for the stripes on her tail. I probably could have gotten some of these colors since I will eventually use them for the other girls as well, but oh well! I probably will make another Socks at some point, since my gf has already claimed this one.
For stuffing I tried out “Crafter’s Choice Dry Polyester Packing” instead of regular ol’ polyfil. The bag recommends it for plush doll making. When I squeezed the bag in the store it felt pretty firm and I liked that. This stuff is in fact pretty dang dense, which I love. I prefer cuddling with stuffed animals that are a bit more firm. I think the combo of the yarn and stuffing makes that good combo of squishiness and softness while still having substinance to wrap my arm around lol
